Wednesday Wanderings

As the wind blew in the window this morning, my eyes crept open. The birds were chirpin' and starting in on their day.

My thoughts rushed into my head of everything I have to get accomplished today. Why is it before we can even get out of bed that this and that, then this and that are running rampant.

I stumbled out of bed, Louie on my heels, and down the stairs...everyone still snoring peacefully throughout the house.

By turning on a power button on the computer, the day starts....

Dylan wandered upstairs giving me a hug to start my day! He got Em up and she wandered upstairs after a bit with breakfast in hand to watch the news.

My thoughts are still running rampant this morning, but thoughts of blessings and how lucky I am are first and foremost now.

What was the change...a simple e-mail from the organizer of a blog party. A few months ago I began following blogs. It all started reading a blog of a former classmate who was adopting a child from Ghana. Then I started wandering around....

I have read about adoption, I have read about horses, I have read about a special little girl in North Carolina, I have read about little ones who fight cancer....and I have read the grief of the families who have lost their precious family members. All from just starting to read one blog....

The blog party was for a little one who had lost her battle earlier this year...little Tuesday. I found out I won one of the gift baskets! What a slap-in-the-face-reminder this morning of how lucky I am. I am honored to of been able to give to such a wonderful family.

It was extra special to give hugs to the kids as they left for school....and to wake Shane up this morning.

Thanks to the caring people who set up, organized and donated to Tuesday's Blog Party.

I have found more blogs to follow now....all from just one about a little boy being adopted by a former classmate that I didn't even really know.....

We're Sick

Sick.

Coughing.

Fever.

Aches.

Pains.

Why can't any of us rest? Why can't we get better?

Why?

Because this is part of everyone being sick. You would of thought that laying on the couch all weekend would do a body good...but nope. Not here.

The washing machine is sick, too. The doctor was just here for it.

Another three days?? Two maybe??? If we are lucky?????

Our trials and tribulations are nothing in comparison to so many. We are thankful for our lives, our health and for every thing we have.
